DANCERS, JUGGLERS, ACROBATS, MIMES, AND MAGICIANS

Márcia jaqueline

Márcia Jaqueline is a prima ballerina at Salzburg’s Landestheater. At 16, she joined the ballet corps of Rio de Janeiro’s Theatro Municipal, Brazil’s most prestigious theatre. After eight years, she was named Rio’s prima ballerina in the role of Giselle. Along with Giselle, she has also brought to life Swan Lake, The Nut-Cracker, Coppélia, Sleeping Beauty, Romeo and Juliet and La Bayadère. Two years ago the political situation in Brazil compelled her to go into exile, and so Márcia now dances in Austria.

Luca aeschlimann

Luca Aeschlimann is an acrobat and the cofounder of the circus company Carré Curieux. Luca should have been born in the Alps, but his parents wanted to become Minervois winemakers and so he was born in Paraza on the Canal du Midi. He herded sheep for some time before considering a career in micro-technologies (on a sub-millimetric scale: anything smaller is nanotechnology, anything bigger is mechanics). But life chose its own path for him.
